Methodology
I like to discuss the needs of my students with them via email or call to ensure I am the best tutor to fit their needs and shape their learning. I have taught in schools and am able to recreate a professional style of education based on my time as a formal teacher. However, I prefer to set goals centred on my student's needs and wants, I construct a set of learning tasks that bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. My ultimate goal when teaching is to ensure that my student reaches their goal and understands all the surrounding concepts of their area of interest.
Experience
I have been working as an English Teacher/Tutor for just over a year and have studied Psychology at University for 3 years. This has allowed me to learn an expansive and advanced vocabulary beyond that of typical native speakers. Whilst Teaching in Japan, I have helped over 200 students gain confidence and improve their grades in English, with my students ranging from young children to elderly adults. I have worked for small companies, schools and also privately, this has given me many perspectives into teaching and trained me in a variety of different approaches.
