Hi, my name is Fahmida and I am currently studying an undergraduate course in Pure Mathematics.
I am just nearing the end of my first year and have enjoyed it thoroughly.
I can give lessons in primary, secondary, GCSE and A-level Mathematics.
I have taught students maths before, and am going to be completing a professional teaching skills course in Mathematics, which will significantly help with my teaching skills.
As a tutor I am very gentle, and patient with students. I believe that impatience aggravates students and does not motivate them to study hard. I believe I can help students achieve their best and share a few tips of mine that helped me get high grades in my studies.
I understand that Maths has become very challenging over the years and a lot of students are struggling with it, I hope to make it easier upon students and for them to understand and become good at maths.
I have given lessons in Maths when studying my A-levels in school, and have taught only a few.
I have also helped my little brother in year 2 with his maths homework and taught him a bit of maths, so I am very flexible in teaching students of various ages.
Last year I volunteered to help some students of my school who were struggling with their GCSE subjects and required a tutor to mentor them from the year above.
I was able to assist an RE class for some time by acting as a teaching assistant whereby I could communicate with pupils much younger than me and offered my support to those struggling in class.
I completed my GSCE’S and A-levels at St. Anne’s Catholic High School for Girls.
