I'm currently an undergraduate student at Aberystwyth University studying psychology/neuroscience. I tutor GCSE through to A-level in psychology and English language/literature. My lesson structure focuses on what I call the 'problem' areas, to get the scary stuff out of the way! Most students tend to stall after coming across a topic they find particularly difficult or simply have no motivation for, so I like to identify those areas to tackle and then slowly build up the specific knowledge. I'm laid back and don't want students to feel any kind of pressure, I amend my lessons to meet the needs of the individual so they feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. As a student myself, I know it can be difficult to study and find the motivation, but it's why I'm here to help you achieve those targets!
Throughout my time at school, I was an academic mentor for individuals who were struggling to meet their target grades. I also carried this tutoring role into my A-levels and throughout my gap year, with individuals coming to me, and me providing studying timetables and general tutoring for modules or areas the students found difficult. I had a total of 6 students come for home mentoring and all 6 achieved their target grades and above. I mentored upwards of 20 students during my GCSE's and A levels.
