I base my teaching methods around the needs of the specific individual. For example, if the individual needs help with their understanding and analysis of a text, we will first work on understanding the plot, then character growth, then the different themes, then social context, then different interpretations and finally literacy criticisms - until they feel confident in discussing the work and writing about it.
I am currently studying LLB Law at the University of Bristol. I completed my A Levels in English Literature, Chemistry and Mathematics. I have much experience in writing essays, cover letters and personal statements. I also enjoy fictional writing and being creative. Editing and assisting the work of others is equally enjoyable, as I strive to help others achieve. I aim to help with reading, writing, expression, motivation and, most importantly, confidence in one's abilities.
I am a very committed, confident and determined student, which is clearly demonstrated on a day-to-day basis, through my studies and personal life. I am currently in full-time education as I am studying LLB Law at the University of Bristol. I believe self-motivation and genuine hard work is vital to succeed. These are two of my strongest attributes, which enable me to remain focused, organised and punctual. I am extremely positive and enthusiastic in all aspects of my life. I strive to help others and make them realise their full potential.

Work Experience/ Volunteering:
In 2018, I worked as a Youth Support Worker for the summer program of NCS (run by Essex County Council). Through this experience, I developed my understanding of the variety of needs of young people and learnt how to tackle different situations. This involved maintaining a priority focus on health and safety, as well as being able to motivate and encourage individuals. My role was centered around facilitating the development of young people.
From March 2015 to July 2017 I delivered the Harlow Star and additional leaflets for The Distribution Business. This was a job I completed once per week, and required strict responsibility.
I have completed various work experience and volunteering projects. I have recently completed a work shadowing experience at Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, where I assisted an expert in medical negligence litigation.
Prior to this, I worked at Kews Vets for two weeks and spent a week volunteering at Vauxhall City Farm in London.
I have a strong regard for selflessness and teamwork, so participation in both my school environment and in charity events is important to me. In 2016, I completed the National Citizen Service, in which, I organised and run a charity event- raising four hundred and thirty-five pounds- for Mutts in Distress. I also took part in the Midnight Walk, run by St Clare's Hospice, in 2016. My role as a Prefect and a part of the Senior Leadership Team and Social Committee has enabled me to engage in all events at school and sixth form (such as assisting at Open Days). Additionally, I participated in my school's Readathon, raising a total of fifty pounds for Princess Alexandra Hospital children's ward. I have recently also gained a certificate for my dedicated involvement in a paired reading scheme, helping lower school pupils.
Interests and Hobbies:
I have, what appears to be, an endless interest in Literature. Reading classic novels, such as Great Expectations and Wuthering Heights, as well as contemporary literature (Birdsong and The Woman in Black for example) spark my imagination and fascination with different genres. Alongside my interest in reading, I find solace in writing. In terms of physical stimulation, I enjoy running and swimming.
