I will assess what each student needs to work on and create lessons based on the needs of the individual. There will be an emphasis on spoken language to build confidence. Culture, music, literature and history will be introduced to give context and meaning to the language. There may be tasks to complete in between sessions such as vocab memorisation or listening to music in the target language.

At school I was heavily involved with the languages department as a language prefect. I assisted younger students with their speaking exams and helped run the language clinic, where I committed free time to help younger students from years 7-11 with their language skills. I am a keen musician, having achieved grade 8 on the flute. I have played in orchestras, a big band, many musical productions, and several choirs both in and outside of school. As a music prefect, I was responsible for organising rehearsals for the junior orchestra, as well as arranging music and conducting the ensemble.
Volunteer Classroom Assistant November 2018- April 2019 I volunteered at a local primary school over a period of several months in their provision for children with Developmental Language Disorder. This included supporting the children with independent learning tasks, reading, and leading them in turn-taking games. My role also included the preparation of teaching resources e.g. cutting, laminating and making resource packs.
Excellent! Very approachable and friendly
Following up from the session on Thursday, Anoushka seemed to pick up on the vocab quickly and was confident trying to construct sentences. I've set her the homework of trying out Duolingo. Looking forward to our next session where we will revise content from last week and introduce numbers, time phrases and family members.
