University student in philosophy and Spanish gives maths and Spanish lessons in London

I am a university student currently studying Philosophy and Spanish at Edinburgh University. I have always loved languages so would love to share my passion by teaching younger students. Equally maths has always been my strongest subject, however since I am not studying at University I would like to carry on teaching it. I am very approachable and patient and therefore believe as I tutor I would be extremely helpful.

At my old school, I took part in a society whereby I taught the girls ages 11-13 in order to help them do their homework. I will always look for my students to achieve the top grades as I did myself, or show their true potential.

Law – Peachey & Co – July 2015
I spent a week shadowing a solicitor and dealing with several of his cases. We attended court cases to understand the role of the barrister and meetings with clients in order to demonstrate the different areas within a law firm.

Morgan Stanley - 2015
I applied to do a week course at Morgan Stanley and was one of 50 who were selected from 500 applicants. We were given the opportunity to meet people from all the different departments in order to define our interests and were put in situations where we had to make investment choices for ourselves.

Place2Be - July 2015
I worked at Place2Be’s main office helping with the admin of the charity. I worked mainly in the recruitment department helping to look through CVs and contact the potential future counselors. I used Excel to record all my data and began developing my social skills with telephone work. I further abseiled down Broadgate tower in order to raise money for something I feel so passionate about.

Private Banking - St James Place - July 2014
During this work shadowing I learnt how private banking works. I attend private client meetings where we discussed where it would be beneficial to invest the client's money while assessing their risk profile.

Insurance Broking - Howard Global - Bloodstock Insurance Broker – July 2014
I spent 3 days at Howard Global shadowing various people in different departments. I spent the majority of my time in Lloyds insurance market persuading people to insure their livestock with Howard Global and getting all the paperwork signed across the different companies. I also helped out on making the website more accessible.

Waitressing – 2013 & 2014
I worked at several Charity events for Style for soldiers serving food and drinks. This has not only taught me useful skills but also improved my communication skills speaking to many heroic soldiers.

Global PR – Bell Pottinger – 2013
Throughout my work experience at Bell Pottinger I helped improve several companies digital communications, its use of multimedia content and the launch of the companies presence on social media.
