I am a student at the University of Birmingham, reading physics. I provide maths and physics lessons for GCSE and A-level students. The sessions focus on tackling a wide-range of problems, allowing for a hands on learning experience.
I have previous experience in tutoring GCSE maths. The lessons focus on tackling sections of the student's syllabus that the student finds most challenging. If general improvement is desired, the syllabus is approached systematically. Together, myself and the student, work through a range of problems to gain an understanding of how they can be solved.

Privately tutoring in GCSE maths.
My ability to achieve is underpinned by my driven nature, strong work ethic and dedication to any given task. These qualities have allowed me to thrive in tasks and situations that are sometimes initially alien to me. For example, whilst at secondary school I joined the debate team and despite having no previous experience of debating soon went on to become an integral member of the team, even winning an individual award (Best Questioner) at one debate. My success in the school basketball team tells a similar story. I have also been selected by my 6th form college to represent it in the British Physics Olympiad. I was one of two students selected out of approximately 100 physics students in my year.
My organisational and leadership skills are reflected in a range of roles I have undertaken. For example during my work experience at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, I was asked to lead maths booster classes. I had to lead the pupils through exercises, making sure that all tasks were completed and sufficiently understood within the given hour. My ability to lead my peers was demonstrated in my final year of secondary school as I captained my school football team to it first ever cup and league double. Playing for my school football team I demonstrated my team credentials as well as my leadership qualities by volunteering to play out of my preferred position to the benefit of the team. At football I have also represented the London Borough of Barnet and was a member of the district team that won the county championship.
