I am a second year university student at UCL, and I am taking an undergraduate degree in Philosophy. I have had four years of experience with Philosophy and my passion for the subject has never dwindled. My goal is to carry across that passion and inspiring people into realizing how important Philosophy really is.
I aim to teach mostly students at school or adults who would wish to gain an insight into philosophical issues and critical thinking. Both beginner and intermediate level lessons can be provided.
My methods of teaching involve making sure the student understands the importance of what they are learning and helping the student to sharpen their analytical skills and their engagement with topics in Philosophy.
I think exchange and cross-examination of ideas and tacking weaknesses is the key to good learning. As is mutual respect and trust. Also, trying to make philosophy rather than memorizing its history or other thinkers' positions. Philosophy is a dynamic subject, and it must never be tedious or dry.
I can teach at the student's home or at my accommodation hall, where there is plenty of room for study available.
I have tutored my sister's friends in multiple subjects, from Philosophy to Mathematics and Biology.
They have shown positive feedback and improvement not only in their grades but also in the way they stand to the subject. I tried fostering their passion and building an emotional connection with what they were learning and it really strengthened their engagement with the class.

Clubs, societies and skills:
Student’s magazine, The Lighthouse
For the last three years I spent at St. Julian’s School I had been an active writer for the student’s magazine. I had my own poetry section in which I would publish some of mine and other students’ literary creations and post some poems I thought were worth reading an experiencing. I also wrote movie reviews and articles featuring more intellectually stimulating ideas on issues such as animal abuse.
I was part of the school choir at St. Julian’s School which used to meet every Thursday at lunch time. We used to sing classical pieces by composes such as Handel and organize Christmas concerts for parents and students.
I had one year of piano lessons on my final year at St. Julian’s School. I regret not having discovered my passion for classical pieces and for the magnificence of the piano earlier on in my life. I still practice and enjoy challenging myself and learning how to play certain pieces. I also actively try to compose my own music, from preludes to miscellaneous emotionally charged bursts of music that allow me to express my deepest, most intimate thoughts and feelings.
