Hi! I'm an enthusiastic psychology undergraduate from Newcastle that gives lessons to beginners up to age 14.
I use various self-devised techniques, as suitable to the individual child and aim to make lessons interesting and engaging. I tend to start with scales followed by piecework and then finish with a 'fun' piece e.g. a duet.
I have been giving lessons since October 2013 and have had 2 pupils. Despite this being a small number, my first pupils' Grade 1 exam result was a distinction and she then went on to pass Grade 2.
My students and their parents were fully satisfied with how their children enjoyed their lessons.
I am currently studying undergraduate psychology at Northumbria University.
I've achieved Grade 8 piano, and never failed a piano exam.
I have performed at various events such as playing the organ at church during Christmas services and performing at a town concert.
I have taught piano up to Grade 3 since October 2013 as mentioned.
I have taught young children swimming from January 2015 to July 2016 which, although very different, methods for engaging children of this age can be adapted.
