My aim in teaching is to create a situation where students become enthusiastic about understanding the subject matter themselves and consequently deeply integrate new content and frames of meaning into their way of thinking. To attempt to achieve this I use a variety of methods such as speaking in pairs, small groups, role plays and debates.
My role as Science Expert involves providing intensive, motivational, Science and Maths content revision courses throughout the UK . This includes assisting pupils to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve positive outcomes and preparation for examinations, using rich fact based content along with inspirational classroom based educational games. Success is always the desired outcome, with excellent learner feedback this has been a very fun and rewarding part of my teaching career. I have covered all aspects of science KS4 from WJEC, EDEXCEL, AQA and OCR. I have also delivered A Level Biology revision courses

Jan 2008- Feb-2015 Science Teacher for Wrexham LEA- Ysgol Y Grango, Wrexham - Responsibilities include effective delivery of lessons across KS3 and 4 (Biology specialism), writing schemes of work, communicating and sharing good practice in departmental meetings, running a lunchtime Science club and Chess club
Sept 2005-Jan 2008 Science Teacher for Woodlands Childcare development centre : Running the science department and net working with therapists, careers and social workers as part of a learners TAC team. The client group of learners displayed a range of emotional and behavioural challenges and where mostly young offenders.
April 2002-Sept 2004 Economic Development Officer for Ellesmere port and Neston borough council – Responsibilities included co-ordination of a local business award and delivering a confidence building NLP course to long term unemployed in disadvantaged wards of the area.
