I prefer to understand what my students' strengths and weaknesses are; and then from there we can develop a lesson plan that will help strengthen their weaknesses and solidify their strengths. People learn best when teaching what they know or have learnt which is one method I use a lot as well as step by step learning and setting targets to achieve.
I have been giving lessons for almost a year now to 3 GCSE students in maths and science. Two of them learn together and the other is separate. I have helped them move up a set at school and prepared the Year 11 girl for her GCSE exam which she took this summer.
