I have been taught with the Kodaly method which is a Hungarian based technique based on singing solfa. It is important that we train our ears and if we can sing the melody then we can play it. When we play on a stringed instrument, that skill becomes vital to be able to hear where we put our fingers down. I also do a lot of bowing Exercises to develop the right Hand which is great fun. Another technique I use it’s a rhythm game to clap different rhythms which gets faster with time and everyone loves it.
I have graduated on a BA music performance at Middlesex back in 2010. During my University years I have started teaching and became really passionate about it. I have taught many children and some adults, currently preparing some of them for grade 5 Vln. I was working in the last decade for a company called Strings Club, which is a group teaching club, I have learnt lots of games there and a different approach to children. However I believe that one to one teaching it’s a bigger progress For a child because the attention is only on one person. My main instrument Is Viola which I usually play in the Fulham Symphony Orchestra on it. In the last decade I have recorded various pop artists tracks which is a different style of music rather then classical. I have been a few years ago in BGT with the Collaborative Orchestra and we got to the semi finals.
