My teaching method always begins with positivity and slow work. The lesson will begin with a brief recap of work covered in the previous lesson (10/15 mins), and setting new work for the following week (45 mins). Learning an instrument takes commitment and patience, and I will push you in the best possible ways in order to achieve a high level of musicality, technique and confidence in your instrument.
I am a student in my 4th year of Undergraduate study at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have been giving Violin/ Viola lessons for 3 years now. As well as a teacher, I am a regular performer inside and outside of my place of study. During my 3 years of teaching, I have taught around 10/15 pupils at various times, with my current number sitting at 8 students per week. Under my guidance, I have managed to make considerable progress with each student and enable them to reach a very high standard, from beginner level right up until Grade 8 standard. I am full of energy and smiles, and that is what was always appealing to me as a pupil getting to play a musical instrument and then turn that hobby into my profession.
These are very close to Musicians Union rates and take into consideration the high expenditure of living in London as a student. I charge £5 extra for travel expenses, but not if you come to my house.
