I have been working in education for the past 8 years.
I have taught children as a class teacher for last 3 years ensuring good progress is made throughout their time with me, through various teaching strategies. I was working in Brussels, Belgium and have now returned to the UK to continue my teaching career.
Before becoming a primary teacher, I was teaching violin and viola to students in their homes. With adult learners, I wanted to find out what their motivation was and work with them to help them achieve this. Whether that be to master the basics; be able to play a certain piece of music; or improvise and broaden their creativity.
My teaching strategies draw upon various inspirations, one of which is my professional teaching education but also the strategies I know to work from teaching and having been taught a musical instrument.
Retaining an interest, involvement, self-investment and a sense of fun are all important to varying degrees for both adult and child learners and my teaching methods play the part of intertwining these factors in order to help you along the path of success!
