Whether the lesson is for you or for your children my teaching approach will absolutely depend on your needs:
My lessons with children are fun helping them to develop a sense of music, concentration and coordination. Adults lessons are adapted according their music preferences.
Combining different technical skills, I can teach you all styles of music - from Classical to Jazz, Irish, Russian, Latin , Gypsy or even Pop music.
Together we will go through some basic holding violin and bow exercises, working with musical ear training and improving your rhythm / timing.
Willing to work with ABRSM exam program as well;
I also teach music theory.
My students can play in a duet with me or another student if they want to:
I like to collaborate and organize small events or concerts (even online -via Zoom) where they can perform for each other and let their parents watch them as the audience.
If you don't have an instrument yet, I can recommend how to chose the right violin for you!

In my middle-age, with no musical background and having always had the desire to learn to play the violin, I was lucky enough to find Anastasia; a lovely, warm, encouraging and tirelessly patient violin teacher.
Starting from basics, she taught me step-by-step in a methodical fashion, each lesson building on the last. Her encouragement and enthusiasm fired up in me an even deeper desire to learn. I found her lessons so rewarding and such fun and was surprised how quickly I became committed. I have gained so much pleasure learning from her. She is a delight and I can only thank her for introducing to me this beautiful instrument and giving me an even stronger desire to learn and a love to play. Thank you Anastasia!

Both Ilianna and myself feel absolutely fortunate for having the opportunity of working with Anastasia! Not only did she consistently display a professional demeanour (in terms of punctuality, responsiveness), but she also maintained an excellent relationship with my daughter (Ilianna started to love violin again and became eager to practice for her lessons every time). She is a very successful teacher, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her!
Great violin teacher ! Recommended by my best and oldest friend of mine :). Very knowledgeable and I was stunned that no one before her realised that my daughter doesn’t even keep the bow correctly after many many lessons with other 2 teachers . I was able to see progress just after a few lessons .
My lessons with Anastasia were great fun. I was a bit nervous and lacked self confidence when picking up my violin. However, Anastasia helped me get over this and was very patient with me!
She clearly knows her stuff and I would recommend her to anyone thinking of playing this wonderful instrument at whatever level. She works with you to learn not only the basics but also fun songs which you have always wanted to play! I have since shown these songs off to my friends and family!
Anastasia has been giving violin, piano and music theory lessons to my two 5 year
old daughters – Celina and Aurelia – since April 2019 twice a week. During this
time she has built up an excellent rapport with the girls (both in person and
online), making every lesson both productive and enjoyable for the girls.
The fun Anastasia brought to the lessons was very important considering their
young age. Over the last two years they have made not only great
improvement with the violin, but also learnt important aspects of basic music
theory, such as note value, rhythm and have developed a good ear for music.
Initially I was concerned that the girls would be too young to learn the violin
and that they would lose interest quickly, but from the very start they clearly
enjoyed their lessons and looked forward to the next.
Best regards, Lyubov
