About the lesson
I am a violinist living in west london and I will happily teach anyone that is happy to learn.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical violin to all ages.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
Grade 8 ABRSM, BA honors in music (first-class), currently studying at the Royal College of Music
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour £15 for 30mins. However if you would like a consultation lesson (or if a parent would like to see how their child would get on with me) then it will be £15 per hour and £7.50 for half an hour.
- Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel to your home because I can't teach where I am living! However get in contact to discuss this because there are other possibilities.
- When are you available?
Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday and Saturdays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
any age and level up to grade 6
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
what is appropriate for them...this could be none or ABRSM Grades.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
if you simply want to learn the violin for fun and keep it as a hobby I will happily teach you but equally if you want to take a serious, more focused approach I would love to work with you.

- What kind of experience do you have?
Rachel has studied the violin since the age of 4 and achieved grade 8 ABRSM aged 15. Rachel has just gained First Class Honour for her BA hons in music from the University of Chichester and is about to start a Masters in Performance Science at the Royal College of Music in London. As well as being a soloist, Rachel is also heavily involved in a number of chamber ensembles. She plays first violin for the Wiltshire and Swindon County Orchestra and has recently toured Southern China and Hong Kong with them. She currently plays for West Sussex Opera Company and was recently invited to play for Chichester Pro Camerata. She plays also for The University of Chichester chamber orchestra where she has acted as principle of late alongside soloist Emilian Dascal. Rachel has recently joined the London Arts orchestra. As well as being an established classical musician she also plays in a number of jazz and other contemporary ensembles. During the summer she runs a residential orchestral course for youngsters in devon and plays a large part in running a musical theatre based course as well. Rachel is also co-founder of the AmabilÃ© quintet which plays at various events around the country.
