Really excellent....interesting, informative, engaging and confidence boosting
Great teacher, friendly and easy to get on with. Is good at modern techniques, which is great given how many classical singers they are compared to more contemporary singers. (I'm a rock singer personally).
Definitely recommendNicola is clearly passionate about unlocking his students singing potential. He brings a really friendly vibe to each lesson which keeps me looking forward to next, and within just 2 months in I have noticed my singing voice go from a closed, unconfident sound to a much more open, controlled one. I would Highly recommend Nic to anyone looking to strengthen their voice and to amend any bad techniques and habits that most of us aren't aware we have.
Nic has been great so far! I am going to my 3rd lesson now and really enjoying his coaching.

Nick is great and helps me understand what I need to do to improve my singing but also to enjoy it. The lessons are fun.
Nicola is such a pleasure to train with. Not only is he very professional, he has an informality about him that makes me feel very comfortable with regards to my singing ability and mistakes that need correcting;
He is also very precise when it comes to technique, breathing and pronunciation of words when singing.
Within 3 weeks I have seen an improvement in my singing by doing the exercises he gives me and I have never had singing lessons before.
I look forward to many more lessons with NicIt couldn't be more lovely and sensitive! Nic is patiente, talented and very clear on his explanations. You can feel he enjoys what he does so, it makes you enjoy even more the lessons. He brought me back to my essence!

When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I had my first singing lesson at the age of 9. I was really young, all I can remember is that it was a great experience and it was fun.
It's when I've met my main vocal mentor, that this fun activity became the deepest passion I ever had. I was then 12, and from that moment singing has been my everything.02
Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
I've never been focused just on one type of music or one artist.
But I know this feeling: some times there's a new song in your playlist and you just loop it over and over again.
Sometimes I don't even remember the name of the artist, but I like the song that much that I listen to it a million time.
Just play any songs by Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Erikah Badu, Luther Vadross, Antony and the Johnsons, Michael Jackson, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jonsi and I'll never get sick of them.03
Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
Particularly related to singing, the most fascinating aspect is the constant discovery of yourself.
If you really want to find your own true sound, you need to deconstruct the image you have created of it, and build it up again following your neutral vocal approach.
The subconscious plays a big role in it. Unlocking new perspective and different point of view regarding your sound, is defensively the most challenging - but most rewarding - course I can offer.04
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
First of all. Yes, The voice is an instrument.
The vocal mechanics, the way our voice works, makes that one of the most fascinating instruments to master.
The reason why it's probably the most difficult instrument to learn, it's because this instrument is already inside of us. We don't see it, we can't touch it. We need to feel it.
Another aspect is the implication of the voice in our day life. When you learn a new instrument, there's a big chance you almost never used that instrument constantly in your life.
Regarding the voice, you definitely used it before. We talk, we communicate, we sing in the shower.
that means, sometimes, you need to learn how to do something your that body is already automatically since a long time, in a completely different way.05
What are your keys to success?
Your success will come if you really follow you dreams.
Listen to your passion, keep following your own direction. Make goals, and when you reach them don't ever stop, keep find a new one.
Having a great passion is not enough. Dedication and practice, with a constant exercise that becomes part of a daily training.
Accept rejections and learn from your mistakes. The music industry is not an easy sector. Get creative, find the difference that makes you stronger inside yourself.
My success is be there with you during this wonderful process.06
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
I would gladly meet 3 people that with their music express 3 different key aspects that in my opinion make a great singer: product, technique, expression.
Bjork.
The vision she has about music, the naked voice concept, breaking the boundaries between art and music, concert and performance..
definitely an interesting person to have chat early in the morning.
Brian McKnight
I would have for him a million questions about vocal techniques and vocal training.
I'm not sure if he will appreciate the little vocal geek in me so early in the morning.
Alela Diane.
I had the pleasure to meet her after a couple of London gigs.
She reminds me that human aspect can survive in the complicated and sometimes unfair music industry.07
Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
My first laryngoscopy.
I was shocked the first time I saw a picture of my vocal cords. Dr. Fussi sticked a camera down my throat to show me my folds on a maxi screen.
That's the day I've become a vocal geek.08
What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
My genuine passion for the vocal instrument is probably my strongest skill.
Beside the music style, the songs, the expressivity, I'm truly fascinated by the technical and mechanical aspect of the human voice.
I'm confident that I can share with you some of my passion.
