Most tutors these days are old, who have been taught different methods and out of date facts that don’t apply anymore. Why don’t younger people, students going through the subject RIGHT NOW help the people who are struggling? This would benifit both parties. The tutor - who is gong over there work and explaining it to others. And the student, the one who is getting the help they need to achieve there grades. It would make so much more sense!
I really enjoy all my subjects and am currently tutoring one of my friends who wants some extra help in all 3 sciences. My GCSE predictions are all A*, and in recent assessments I am on track to achieve this in ALL my subjects.
The subjects I have taken at GCSE are:
- Triple Science
As well as all the other core subjects.
If you want tutoring in ANY subjects then please just let me know and I will be happy to help :)
If the student is based outside of Northallerton then there will be a charge of £3 for travel
I am currently tutoring one of my friends, who is struggling to understand the GCSE work in all sciences. Before this, I had not had any tutoring experience (apart from helping my sister).
One thing I find helps me a lot when revising, is using a website called Quizlet. I have used this for revision for the past 6 months, and I can see a big change in how much knowledge is staying in my head. This is what I will use when tutoring, making custom work for each student tailoring it to there needs and level. I will also use worksheets, online games and other revision methods depending on how each student prefers to learn, and which one is most effective for maximum progress.
Everybody learns differently, which is one of the biggest problems in the education system. Copying from a textbook is no longer the most effective way to learn, there are many alternatives out there that can provoke more progress.
If you would like a past reference to see what others think of my characteristics then feel free to ask.
My only current qualification I have is a distinction in Grade 5 Drums, achieving 91/100.
