I focus on getting students to speak and feel comfortable trying out new language. I create many of my own materials and got consistently positive feedback. I am extremely supportive of my students, and I make it a priority to create a comfortable environment to help them use English even when they are shy or feel uncertain. I enjoy using authentic materials when appropriate, especially songs and snippets from radio as I finding listening to one of the harder elements of learning English.
I obtained my CELTA qualification in 2013. I have experience teaching all levels, from total beginner to almost native fluency, of many different nationalities and ages - from 8 years old to retired people. I am also a writer, business owner and former journalist and speechwriter.
