I have been tutoring my entire life, from a small scale in helping classmates, to a larger scale, teaching in a learning setting as a swim instructor.
I always make sure that I know what I'm doing ahead of time, and create a lesson outline to make sure my student gets to understand the basics up, to really get a good grasp on the material.
As a tutor and student, I feel as though without the basics, the more complicated things cannot be understood to a A+ level, which is why I always make sure to teach through a plan, and with a simple, and universally friendly teaching style.
