You've found a real gem,
Robin is very sought-after this month.
I always aim to teach fun and engaging lessons that balance technical aspects of drumming and drum theory. I have found that motivating and inspiring students to practice regularly is essential to their learning and development. I have also found it is particularly effective to have parents involved in making sure their children meet the practice goals that are set. In lessons, making an aural and rhythmic connection to the music alongside strong knowledge of basic theory is essential to developing musicality and creativity early on.
My lessons are organised in advance, following a specific lesson plan and according to the level of the student. Before each lessons, students will be given scores, PDF and audio files.
Robin Vernay was born in Evian (France) and raised in a musical household.
From a young age, he was really passionate about music and his family encouraged him to play the drums so Robin picked up his first pair of sticks at age of 5. Ever since, he's never stopped playing the drums.
After years of practicing and taking lessons with his drum teacher Jean Lavorel, he eventually integrated his first band called Jazz Pass when he was 14 years old.
Throughout his musical career, Robin has worked and performed with several bands and artists, playing many different styles of music, varying from Jazz to latin, R&B to soul and even Funk to Pop Rock and Electronic. He aims to incorporate his own style, creativity, and experience to his work.
Robin is currently based in North West London and has graduated from the Bmus (Hons) Popular Music Performance at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (drum teachers: Darren Ashford, Jon Harris, Gábor Dörnyei).
Moreover, he has recently released his first instrumental album “Livened Beats" as well as a new drum video called "Up Till Exosphere" which has been recorded at Abbey Road Institute.
Robin is now a full time working session drummer and drum teacher. He's currently writing a second Jazz album for his upcoming solo project.

I found Robin on his personal website just through googling drumming in London and he came recommended by google. Within a week of contacting him I had arranged my first lesson. Since our first lesson I have already regained lots of the skills I used to have when playing drums. I love his style of teaching me through the basics and nailing them before we move on. I've had 4 lessons with him so far and i've learnt something new every session. cant wait for more. Highly recommend him.
Robin is very knowledgeable.
He adapts to my tastes and availability, works on my weaknesses but does not forget to highlight my strengths. He is very patient and when I struggle on something he tries to find a different approach that will make me get through this difficulty. Playing the drums is not easy but thanks to him it definitely seems accessible.
He is also a very pleasant person to study with.
It is a pleasure to recommend him.
