Well-being alongside Grades; Tutoring in English Literature - from GCSE to Undergraduate.

Methodology

Look and Listen. Well-being of the child is just as important as their grades. Their mental well-being is the tutor's main concern. The child will thrive if they are happy. Well-being before grades. Success will follow with a happy child.

Experience

I have completed a degree which fundamentally explored the Liberal Arts. In this degree, I majored in English Literature. I am a skilled researcher and communicator. I completed quite a weighty module on the troubles in Northern Ireland – specifically looking at the female perspective of the conflict. I have experience in a Masters’ level insight to Social Sciences; specifically, Children’s Rights. The United Nation’s Declaration of Human Rights is a document which I have poured over in much depth. I intend to continue my exploration of the Arts. I have an unconditional offer to start a Master of Arts, Humanities and Languages commencing in 2021.

Personal Statement
I am a hard worker, motivated and ambitious. I am a good team player, and I can work well independently. I can work within deadlines. I am an able communicator and my skills would greatly benefit a workplace. I am a commendable writer and skilled reader. I find hard work stimulating and rewarding. I take much delight in the working with people. I have a strong passion for voluntary and charity work. I am continually seeking to give something back to the community I live in. I have volunteered in the Linen hall library since I graduated in summer 2019. I have in-depth experience of engaging fully with communities and groups exploring the history and heritage of Ireland. I deal with the public often. I meet the public as they enter the library and do my best to help and answer any questions the public have about the library. I am also a sales assistant in the Linen Hall Charity Bookshop. I am very knowledgeable about Irish Literature and heritage. I frequently give up my free time and put my full effort into volunteering in one of the oldest libraries in the country. I intend to continue my voluntary work alongside any paid employment as I immensely enjoy the work I do whilst giving something to back to the community that raised me.
