About the lesson
I deliver enthusiastic teaching of Music to all ages and abilities. I believe that it is important to tailor teaching to the abilities of each individual pupil so that they are able to achieve their full potential as a musician.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Piano, Singing and Music Theory and I also tutor students for GCSE and A Level exams. I am an experienced accompanist and coach and I am happy to work with students of any instrument in preparation for concerts, examinations and auditions.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD) in Piano and Singing, graduating with a 2:1 BMus (Hons) with an Endorsement in Community Music and PGDip in Advanced Accompaniment.
I am now continuing my singing training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich.
I have a Diploma in Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music as well as Grade 8 Distinction in both Piano and Singing.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £28 per hour for lessons however I offer a consultation lesson at £15 so we can have a chance to discuss what you would like to work on and the length of your lesson. This is also a good opportunity to see how the lessons will work if you are new to Music or an instrument.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home in Greenwich, South East London and the surrounding areas of Blackheath, Charlton, Lewisham, and Deptford, but I am also happy to travel around London (travel expenses will be charged).

I teach all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

- What kind of experience do you have?
With performance as my background, I am able to give relevant and up to date teaching which focusses on technique, performance skills and musicianship to create well rounded musicians.
I have recently finished a two year position as the Graduate Music Assistant at Westonbirt School, an independent boarding school for girls, where I taught piano and singing as well as curriculum music, theory, and acted as the accompanist for the department.
As part of my degree I studied Community Music where through leading workshops, choirs and orchestras I gained experience of working with a wide range of ages and abilities.
I am equally at home in Musical Theatre repertoire having worked as an accompanist and coach for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Musical Theatre programme. I teach singing at a Theatre School and have previously worked with a number of Musical Theatre education companies. I also spent the summer of 2010 working in the USA as a Theatre Specialist.
