Hi guys! It's Elena!
It would be super nice if we could share some thoughts and get some hints from the marvellous world of Philosophy!
So far so good, yet I shall stop my enthusiasm as well as this waffle talking... and get seriously into my methodology!
I actually prefer to discuss the structure of the lesson with the student who requires my help.
I firstly would like to understand strengths and weaknesses (if there are any!), the main topic/s of interest and also the final goal so I could tailor a program which could perfectly fit his/her needs.
Considering I have a very strong background in History of Philosophy, I might help you strengthen your knowledge taking into account the main milestones (Ancient Philosophy, Medieval, Modern, Contemporary).
If you need to better understand how make a nice essay, commentary or review on a particular text I definitely am the person you're looking for! Cross-reading and referencing is my passion! I also have proficiency in Ancient Greek and Latin as well as German (B1) so we could go deeper and deeper into the texts you like!
I currently am conducting my reaserch project through the insidious path of Artificial Intelligence and its philosophical implications. So, if you are interested in Philosophy of Mind and other related branches as well as Ontology and Knowledge representation... well, I can't wait to see what you think and suggest you some nice readings!
I started giving lessons quite early during my high school attendance... it was the usual thing you think of when you are young, you love a particular subject and you would like to raise some more money to hang out with your friends...
Yet, I must say that, in the end, I enjoyed doing it that much that I kept giving lessons throughout the whole period until the end of the school.
Then, I went on during the years of my BA when I have also been invited a few times as Guest Lecturer as well as to do official Talks about selected relevant topics.
Quite often I believe I've learnt more from my students on a social and human basis than they from me.
It's amazing sharing thoughts and spreading knowledge!
Taking care of students within various levels of education (from high school students to Postgrads) I have led them to succeed not only oral or written exams but also to strengthen and enhance their capability of writing commentaries on particular topics or text reviews.
Rates may vary based on the student's level.
Price may be slightly higher for MA, MSc, Postgrads or PhD students.
