My name is James and I completed my GCSE's fairly disappointed with an A. Since then I have worked hard to study the exam board and the specifications to become a tutor and teach young people the most efficient way to gain the marks needed to achieve the grade they would be aiming for (or higher!). I have general techniques for teaching, however, each child is different and I would always be comfortable working around their difficulties or troubles. I'm 17 years old and have just finished my first year of Sixth Form. You may not find me to be the best option to teach someone who will be only 2 years younger than me, however, being this age means I could potentially engage with you/your child in a more friendly way, and you/your child may benefit from my age, as I am a lot more friendly and outgoing than most of the other tutors I know.
I have been giving lessons for around a year now. I have taught 3 students. One of my students failed maths originally with a grade D, and went to resit in January. She came out with a B, 2 marks off an A, and when she got it remarked it turns out she was only 1 mark off an A!!!
