About the lesson

Music is one of my greatest loves and I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to access it. I encourage people to be not just fantastic players but also well rounded musicians. Finally and perhaps most important, have fun!!

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach all Brass instruments but mainly specialize in the Trumpet. I also teach the Piano, Music Theory and other musical academia if requested.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a Masters degree from the Royal Academy of Music and I'm in the process of completing my Licentiate Teaching diploma (LRAM) from the Academy. I aso have a Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music. I did a MEC (Music in Education and the Community) course whilst at the RNCM.

- How much do you charge?

£25 an hour
£15 for half an hour.
I charge extra for travel depending on distance

- Where do you teach?

I teach at both my house and the students house. I am situated in Carlton, Southeast Cambridgeshire near Newmarket and Haverhill, but I am willing to travel anywhere around Cambridgeshire and surrounding Counties if required.

- When are you available?

I am very flexible in when I teach but my availability is normally different from week to week. I aim to make lessons as regular as possible according to the students needs.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I am able to teach in all age groups. I teach the trumpet in all levels from Beginner to Advanced and teach other brass instruments up to grade 5. I also teach Theory up to Grade 8.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

- What kind of experience do you have?

I teach at many Secondary, Primary and Private schools around the area. I also teach privately at home and at students home. I use a variety of method to teach which are tailored to individual's interests because I believe that pupils learn more if they enjoy their lessons and are interested in the subject.

I have an up-to-date CRB/DBS check.
