My teaching method is the following. I will discuss with the student their aims, plans and what they wish to get from our sessions. Then go through the textbook/specification for their exam board and find out which topics they'd like to go over. From there I will ask the student which topic they'd like to do and create/find resources for the lessons. For GCSE especially I think exam questions are a brilliant resource as it's important for students to understand how to tackle questions and how to apply their knowledge to them. It's not as easy as remembering from the textbook!
If the student would prefer to use me as a revision tool (strength the areas they lack confidence in) then I am willing to provide as much support as I can by providing resources to go through topics bit by bit and ensure the student is confident in their knowledge.
I am a big fan of using past papers and I myself are more of a hands on learner.
I am 18 years old in my final year (year 13) of A-levels. I’m looking to find a smaller job that I can still earn money for my savings as I need to focus on my studies. My current job is gives too many hours and I believe tuition is best option for me as I’m currently a student and enjoy helping others. I also take this as a good revision opportunity and helps me to widen my skills.
My availability is as follows:
Weekdays after 4pm
Weekends anytime up until 7pm
Available during Christmas and New year as do not celebrate, available during all holidays/non school days
I have only ever tutored one person before so my experience is limited but I am able to access resources and I’ve received tutoring for my GCSEs so I am aware of how it works. I worked with teaching children sports before. I received A (7) in GCSE Chemistry Physics and Maths and a B in Biology. I do wish I got higher but I was able to pull my chemistry grade from a 5 to a 7 and my maths from 3 to a 7. I’m studying A-level Biology, Chemistry and Performing Arts at Sidney Stringer Academy 6th Form. I am looking for an opportunity that will help me develop my skills as a person and gain more confidence as a young person.
I charge roughly £5 for travel. Since I am a student I will usually take a bus or some means of public transport. If the distance is quite far it may be raised to £8-10 but I will be honest and even provide proof if needed. I am doing this to gain experience and help others, not to make loads of money.
McDonalds Crew Member
McLean - Coventry
September 2020 to Present
I’ve only just started working here. I have completed several breakfast shifts and day shifts where we are required to start up the shift stocking and preparing for the day as well as taking payments and interacting with customers.
I have also worked very hard with take out service and Uber eats, deliveroo etc. I am very capable of bagging up takeaway meals and getting them ready on time for when the driver arrives.
My timing skills and organisation is very good and I’m never late to shift always early!
I am looking to leave due to work being too far from my home and school so it’s not ideal. I also get too many shifts than what I’d like and I cannot ask for any less than that

I followed specific rules and teaching styles for different moves.
I spoke to parents and addressed any concerns
I had to be firm with decisions as it could impact the child
