I start by approaching the topics each student finds the most challenging. I think it is really important to help understand each topic especially when it comes to stem subjects. I will then test the student to help identify weaker topics and develop the student’s technique by practising exam questions with them from different exam boards as I feel like this is key for aiming for the higher grades. I will then, closer to each exam, practise specific exam board questions focussing on what the mark scheme wants as this is essential for developing exam technique. My technique is tailored to each student and I set homework outside of teaching time if the student is happy to complete it, as I feel reinforcement is key to being the top of your class

Tara is intelligent, hardworking and reliable. She always gives things her all and excels in anything she sets her mind to. Teaching has always been her passion, she’s the first to help people who are struggling in her class and her work is used as an example by teachers countless times! Would definitely recommend having her as a teacher!!
Tara has helped my daughter by providing her with chemistry tuitions every week for GCSE. Tara has helped my daughter improve her grade and gave my daughter confidence and an understanding in chemistry. I would highly recommend her.
