I am a secondary school student about to finish my GCSEs and I want to inspire students who are from primary to secondary school with mathematics and all it's different pathways. during lessons, I want to make my student engage in the lessons through games and other fun activities. I enjoy using interactive resources to really bring the lesson to life for my students!
I have been a mentor in my school for the past year and a half now, tutoring my fellow year 11 students who need an extra push. In terms of the grades they have achieved, i'll have to wait for their GCSEs! However, teachers have told me that they have made tremendous improvements since I began tutoring them.
I am predicted 8A*s and 3As for my GCSEs and I have a grade 2 merit in the flute. I have also done a six month work experience in teaching primary school students. Although the experience was for music, I learnt many beneficial skills to make teaching students fun and entertaining. I tutored student in mathematics in my current school, so I have knowledge on how to make it engaging.
