Start by writing out exactly what it is that you would like to achieve. This could be that you want to accomplish in terms of grade or a certain achievement in a professional competition, for instance.

That said, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and many indeed question why mock exams are necessary. However, they are a surprisingly good indicator of what you get so try taking them as seriously as possible if you're doing them.

It's not just about having sufficient time to complete all the questions, but also having additional time to double-check your final answers.
