I studied Advanced Level Piano technique at I studied Advanced Level Piano technique at Kingston University London with various highly qualified pianists. I trained towards an ARSM Performance diploma and achieved accreditation in 2017.

I have studied at Trinity College London and qualified as a LTCL Instrumental Teacher. LTCL is equivalent to a full time completion of a degree.

Teaching is a separate skill of its own merit, and I have been trained into the art of teaching piano using a range of resources and assessment methods that appeal to individual learners. Through many years experience working in various schools, I know many different approaches to piano tuition and created my own teaching style using a multi-sensory approach.

I train students for ABRSM and Trinity exams and if they love learning Pop music, then I also train students for the Popular Piano syllabus.

Rockschool is currently is an up and coming exam board and very popular at Harris Academy Secondary, where I launched the program to inspire students to learn music they relate to. If you love it, you'll learn it much quicker!

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I teach in Secondary and Primary schools and I have a lot of experience giving students the best possible experience in their music education.

I teach at Darrick wood Secondary school once a week, where all students are training for ABRSM Classical Piano Exam with students ranging from beginner to Grade 6.

I teach at Harris Academy where I have put all student on the Rockschool Popular Piano syllabus. Pieces from Rihanna Beyoncé Coldplay. The music department and I have been surprised at how extremely popular it has been. I also teach groups and students enjoy ensemble weeks and quizzes.

I teach at a Primary school in Merton every Friday. I have learnt to never underestimate the power of reward stickers! There I teach students through the 'Piano Adventures Syllabus.' The students love the learn catchy melodies and songs they know. We play duets and have quizzes. Students perform at yearly school concerts.

I also teach from home, I use a multi-sensory approach, so I use a range of activities in my lessons to keep students engaged in learning. We use flash cards, have music theory quizzes, play duets, listening games and use music iPad apps. It is important to me that my students become fluent sight-readers and learn to read notes fluently.
