My teaching is all about passion for Music. So long as you have a love for music then we can work on anything.
I can aid anyone working on music up to University degree level!
Including adult learners who want to try something new!
I like to focus on particular areas of interest when we start working together. You may have a starting thought and desire to explore music or a detailed plan on what you want to achieve:
- Have you written a piece and want to work on improving it?
- Do you want to start producing music but don't know where to start?
- Have you downloaded a music production software (Logic pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, GarageBand) but don't know how to navigate around it?
- Do you want to chat through a musical genre?
- Do you want to learn how to approach writing for a film or animation?
- Do you have a musical piece that you love and want to talk through the theory, meaning and emotion behind the notes?
- Have you wanted a companion to delve into the depths of music and what it means to people?
I know it can be very daunting when you start exploring your musical style but I want to help you!
I began my interest in Film Soundtracks when I studied Music Composition and Technology for Film and Game (BSc) at the University of Hertfordshire. Now, after gaining a First Class degree, I look to continue to develop my experience of the Music Industry.
I have worked with many different teams and individual creatives as a Music Composer, Audio Designer, Sound Designer and Foley Artist and continue to develop my digital and electronic musical style while also exploring how music and technology can connect with an audience or listener.
My music is continuously evolving, experimenting with how far the boundaries can be pushed. Although it can tend to fall onto the darker side of sound, I find it very important to morph around the visual, flowing rather than overpowering the scenes within a movie or levels within a game. Always aiming to push the audience to feel a particular emotion and aid the story.
Through my passion and love of music, I hopes that her interpretation of the world in the form of sound can inspire others and help be the driving element of emotion for the visual media.
