About Joshua
I'm a passionate traveler and educator on a mission to explore the world while spreading the gift of language. As an English teacher, I connect with students both online and in person, helping them unlock the power of communication. I use a variety of methods in my class as I like to incorporate a lot of different styles. For example, I like the Active, Socratic and real world application methods. Active learning is where i like to encourage students to participate actively in class and for this I will ask open ended questions. With the Socratic method I ask students questions that will stimulate critical thinking. And then i also like to use real world application and talk about the events of the day and what's happening around the world. I think this methodology is a great mix and I've found the best results with these three as the lessons are more engaging, memorable and fun for the students.
