About Ines
I'm an experienced English teacher with a passion for literature and critical thinking. My goal as a teacher is to encourage my students to develop skills which will serve them beyond their secondary and sixth-form education by developing their cultural awareness and inquiry based learning. As English is a core subject which students need to pass at GCSE to access further education and employment, I strive to provide accessible, structured, and task-based content for students to engage with, which can support them in developing their exam skills and achieving their personal form of success.

My lessons focus on the student's greatest area of need to build confidence and understanding in English, whether that's in creative writing, understanding of Shakespeare and poetry, or perfecting essay writing techniques.
As an AQA GCSE English Literature examiner, I provide additional insight into exam techniques, and use a supportive approach to encourage students to develop their skills in order to achieve the best possible outcomes in English for their individual ability.
In addition to this, I have experience as Key Stage 4 High Prior Attainment lead, and employ a range of strategies and content in order to ensure that higher ability students are stretched and challenge to achieve top GCSE grades.
