About Retzina
Hello, my name is Retzina, and I am a qualified Greek teacher with a degree in Greek Language and Literature from the University of Crete. I specialise in both Modern and Ancient Greek, and I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I chose to teach Greek because I truly believe language is more than just words — it is a doorway to history, culture, and identity. Sharing my language with others allows me to help students connect not only with grammar and vocabulary but also with the richness of Greek thought, literature, and tradition. Teaching gives me the joy of watching students grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and discover the beauty of the Greek language. That is why I teach — to make learning meaningful, enjoyable, and empowering for every student I meet.

I teach both Modern and Ancient Greek using a clear, step-by-step approach that focuses on communication, grammar, and cultural context. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though longer sessions are available for advanced learners. I hold a degree in Greek Language and Literature from the University of Crete and have several years of experience teaching students of different backgrounds. My lessons are designed for all levels and ages — from complete beginners to advanced learners, including school pupils, university students, and adults with a personal or professional interest in Greek.
