About Eliza
I have more than 3 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering (Guitar Focus). My expertise lies in jazz and blues improvisation across various subgenres. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and focused on practical skill development. Modal scales, arpeggios, and dominant seventh theory are integrated into each session. Bebop phrasing and improvisational techniques help students develop a personal voice. I have worked with Intermediate and Advanced learners, including musicians preparing for professional gigs. The teaching approach emphasises translating theory into fluent musical ideas. Students gain confidence, technical skill, and expressive freedom. Lessons combine structured exercises with creative exploration. Each session is tailored to individual goals and skill level. Musicality and personal expression are central to every lesson. Every student’s growth is nurtured and celebrated. Let’s begin a journey of improvisation and inspired musical expression.

The methodology focuses on guitar maintenance, tone, and performance readiness. Students practise string changing, basic setup, and electronics care. Understanding pickups, effects pedals, and amp settings helps shape a personal sound. The Campfire Strummer learns skills for smooth outdoor and informal playing. The Worship Leader gains confidence in managing live gear. Lessons include tuning, intonation, and action adjustment exercises. Students explore truss rod adjustments and pickup selection. Signal chains and pedal interaction are applied creatively. Sessions emphasise hands-on practice and independent problem-solving. Tone development is paired with expressive playing. Lessons are structured, supportive, and goal-focused. Students become proficient in caring for their instrument. Mastery of guitar setup enhances musical confidence and creativity.
