About Keira
Holding a BA (Hons) in Illustration and Printmaking, I bring over ten years of expertise as a qualified secondary school and sixth form educator in Art, Design, and Technology. I teach a broad range of disciplines from Fine Art, Textiles, Product Design and Food and Nutrition.
As a freelance Illustrator, I continue to develop my own creative practice while supporting the next generation of aspiring artists in reaching their full potential.
As Lead Curriculum Developer, I implement changes that ensure the Arts curriculum remains responsive to the needs of my students whilst having my finger firmly on the pulse of current educational trends.
The knowledge I offer allows my students to excel in achieving their desired educational goals in support of GCSE and A Level coursework, portfolios and exams.
I focus closely on following the key assessment objectives:
• Critical understanding
• Creative Making
• Reflective Recording
• Personal Presentation

About the lesson

The first hour will be spent with the student showcasing their abilities and skills through the work they have.
We will discuss their goals and expectations, break down their workload into manageable pieces and reassess their targets during each session.
Depending on the level of support needed, these sessions can be more student-lead, allowing them to choose a specific piece they would like to focus on in order to develop new processes and techniques, using any medium that suits them.
I work with a wide range of abilities and age groups, supporting students in meeting deadlines or helping those who are more interested in developing their skills in Art, Design, and Technology in general.
The first session should last 100 minutes, and subsequent sessions will last about an hour.
