About Kodai
I understand that it is sometimes hard to interact with native speakers of the language you are learning. It can be intimidating and shameful of your level. Don't worry. I was there. Countless mistakes I made created my English level now. Failure is a failure if you leave it there. You can learn from mistakes to make it successful. That's your choice!
I am originally from Chiba prefecture in Japan. I was born and grew up in Japan and never spoke a word of English to anybody outside the classroom until I was 19 when I went to the USA to study English for half a year. Now, I work in a football club in the UK and have a family by using English 24 hours 7 days.
If I could do it, you can do it.
Of course, your goal is not to live and work in Japan. You just want to watch anime in Japanese, want to travel to Japan and want to understand what people say.

Although I do not have a Japanese teaching qualification, I have taught Japanese to students from beginner to Intermediate levels. From that experience, I found that my strength in conversation-based lessons where we can share our opinions on a topic. However, I can teach the basic rules/structures of Japanese. My lesson normally lasts around 50 minutes. Whilst I do not restrict any levels or ages, people who benefit from my lesson will probably be adults/mature students who want to develop Japanese skills, knowledge about Japan, and interact with a native Japanese speaker.
