About Kelly
We are fully qualified and experienced teachers offering friendly, professional and bespoke tuition in our high quality, OFSTED registered Education Centre in Urmston. We offer new and exclusive Kip McGrath resources.
- About Us
We aim to enable each child to reach their educational goals, whether that is exam preparation or building confidence. We provide a positive and dynamic learning environment where children are given opportunities to learn at their own pace and in the style that enables them to learn effectively.
We are specialists in many aspects of SEN and have an inclusive policy - we never refuse to tutor a child with SEN and pride ourselves on working with families with children with differing needs to enable them to make progress and grow in confidence.
Kelly is trained in diagnosing and treating Meares-Irlen Syndrome/Visual Stress Disorder.
We have worked very successfully with pupils with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD, ADHD/ADD, dyspraxia and generally build a very good working relationship with SEN pupils and their families.

We use exclusive Kip McGrath resources and also offer online homework.
All our learning programmes offer a mix of one to one tuition, independent work and computer activities in a small group session. All pupils have access to our exclusive Insight Virtual Learning Environment which they are also able to access at home.

All children work on an a personalised learning programme. We do NOT offer a one size fits all programme!

- Tuition Fees
£26 per hour and 20 minute session, discounts available for block bookings and special discounts available for active members of Girlguiding UK. We are Ofsted registered which enables us to accept childcare vouchers as payment which saves you money. Parents in receipt of Working Tax Credits may also be able to claim for tuition fees.
- Centre Director(s)
Kelly Barrett and Claire Okeregha are fully qualified and experienced Primary teachers, we have over 30 years of teaching experience between us. We both live locally with our own families (between us, we have 5 school aged children!).
Although we do most of the teaching in the centre ourselves, we do employ a small group of teachers. We ensure that they are fully qualified and CRB checked. We have EY, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 & GCSE specialists on our team. We also make sure that our pupils like them!
We aim to make our centre a positive place that children are happy to come to; our teachers are friendly and encouraging and many parents tell us their children really enjoy their lessons.

All pupils enrolling for Trafford Entrance Exams (11+) get FREE access to online materials to enable them to build on the skills they have covered in their lessons and work at home in a structured way.
We offer special discounts for block bookings of 4, 6 or 12 sessions.
- Directions
We are based in the centre of Urmston on Croftsbank Road, above Barclays Bank. Free parking at Sainsbury's is a few minutes walk away. We are very close to Urmston station, making us very handy for pupils in Irlam, and near to major bus routes.
