About Sumin
Hello! My name is Sumin, and I’m currently studying a Master of Teaching in Melbourne. I have a strong passion for education and experience supporting students through private tutoring, teaching assistant roles, and a recent student teaching placement at an Australian school. Having grown up in Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong before moving to Australia, I bring a global perspective and strong cultural awareness to my teaching. I understand that every one of you learn differently and I take pride in creating personalized, engaging lessons that meet each learner’s unique needs and goals. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I tailor each lesson & resources to the individual learner’s needs, using a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive discussion to build understanding and encourage independent thinking.
*I provide follow-up resources, lesson review materials every class & homework (optional) to reinforce learning between sessions.

Qualifications and Experience
- Currently completing a Master of Teaching in Monash University
- Experience as a private tutor for both primary and secondary students
- Completed teaching placement at Australian schools as a student teacher
- Worked as a teaching assistant, supporting learners from early childhood to Year 12
