About Alicia
I am a student of Medical Physiology and Therapeutics at the University of Nottingham. At sixth form I studied in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology alongside working at Specsavers as an optical assistant. My experience in the workplace adds context to the content I learnt in my studies, allowing me to engage in a deeper understanding of my subjects. It is my passion to be able to help others in any way that I can, and provide a teaching style that I feel would benefit young students using my personal perspective and experience of being a student.

My teaching method is very interactive. I prefer to explain content with the aid of diagrams and use of examples that can translate to real world, to deepen understanding. Ultimately, it's important that if a student doesn't understand one explanation, we try again until we find a way that best suits them whether that be in videos, diagrams or reading a piece of text.

Alicia is an excellent tutor who supported my daughter through her GCSE sciences and enabled her to achieve her C grades successfully. More importantly, with minimal stress participating in the exams as she felt well prepared and understood the subjects thoroughly. I would highly recommend Alicia as a tutor she is well prepared, diligent and knowledgeable in her subject areas.
Alicia is a wonderful person and a great tutor. She is always very patient with my youngster and gets him involved in different learning activities which I normally struggle to do .
definitely recommendAlicia has taken the time out to tutor me during my struggle through GCSE and I did better than I was predicted in my exams! She was a very approachable woman who always listened to what I struggled with and worked with me to get there! She really inspired me with her outlook on maths and was very motivational and supportive in getting me there. Thank you Alicia!
Alicia is a great tutor, she really helped me to achieve my goals and made me feel more confident with topics I was struggling with. She has excellent knowledge of the topics and breaks things down so helpfully.
Not only this but Alicia provided me with a structured plan of action when it came to my tutoring sessions. She also took feedback and altered sessions if I felt like they weren’t working for me so everything was adapted to suit my learning style.
The way she explained things was incredibly helpful and gave me confidence for my exams.
Would highly recommend her tutoring sessions and Alicia is a lovely girl who always goes the extra mileAlicia has been tutoring my daughter for her GCSE maths over the last few months. Her approach to teaching is great and my daughter has said numerous times that she finds Alicia very easy to speak to. Alicia is always organised and prepared for the sessions, provides resources and learning materials such as past papers and work sheets and she gives my daughter great feedback. She tailors the sessions to meet my daughter’s needs and individual learning style which means my daughter gets so much from the sessions each week. Alicia always answers any questions my daughter has and explains concepts in an ‘easy to understand’ way.
My daughter’s confidence has grown so much since Alicia has been tutoring her and she now understands maths so much more.
I would recommend Alicia to anyone who wants to gain more knowledge and confidence with maths concepts.View more recommendations
