I am a qualified primary school teacher with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I give lessons to primary and secondary pupils. I give lessons to pupils in Helston and oth

Methodology

I give lessons in Literacy, English Literature and Creative Writing to primary and secondary school students.

My techniques and methods of instruction are dependant upon the specific needs of the student. Consequently, they continuously adapt accordingly within the lesson. However, they are underpinned by a gentle, caring and positive teaching style that thrives on helping students achieve their full potential.

Experience

While I am just starting out as a private tutor, I have been teaching for the last two years in primary schools. I have taught in a wide range of schools across South East London, Somerset and Cornwall. My class sizes have ranged from twenty-five to thirty students. Students who I have taught have gone on to achieve excellent results in both their termly and their final assessments. They have also become more confident writers and speakers, which has resulted in more class discussion participation and improved written communication across the curriculum.

Following my English degree, I have remained an avid reader and writer. I enjoy reading the classics and I write film reviews.
