What hormones control the menstrual cycle?

Answers
It is the relative balance of hormones that triggers the menstrual cycle, rather than particular hormones 'setting off' the menstrual cycle. It is also a very complicated process, but the main hormones involved are oestrogen, progesterone and two hormones produced in the pituitary gland, FSH and LH.
