Evaluate The View That 'Supply Chains Compete, Not Comapnies'

Answers
To give a very short response, a supply chain is composed of a number of companies. At any point on this chain companies must compete against one another in order to receive business from companies lower down in the chain. For example timber companies must compete against one another in order to sell to makers of furniture. The makers may then sell to a furniture store which competes against other stores for business. The stores with the best supply chains will have an edge over other businesses an in this sense supply chains compete.
