does this sentence make sense?

By Ralph’s dependency on his father this shows his vulnerability and innocence as a child; he is only a young boy and hasn’t the experience of an adult, nor is he capable of such proceedings like building a sustainable shelter.

I think that it depends on the audience its meant for and the age it was written in.

There are a few words in the sentence that don't need to be there - but overall it makes sense. Not sure of the context of the question, but I would write it like this: " Ralph’s dependency on his father shows his vulnerability and innocence as a child; he is a young boy and is not graced with the experience of an adult, nor is he capable of performing difficult tasks like building a sustainable shelter." Hope this helps :)
