how do you get a tutor for a 7 year old boy with mild autism

In research that I am conducting for TutorHub, there is clear evidence that there are serious flaws in the UK's education system in terms of supporting those with behavioural or learning difficulties. In 2008, the Telegraph released an article (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1574621/Mainstream-schools-failing-special-needs-pupils.html)

The report was somewhat damning, I feel. Of the 9,000 students expelled in 2005/6 from schools, over 2/3rds of those had behavioural or learning difficulties. This wasn't because of any poor behaviour, rather that the teachers in the classroom didn't have the expertise or skills needed to provide support for them, something I found rather shocking. That said, I would begin by contacting the school to see if any of the Special Educational Needs supervisors or helpers have contacts which could help you further.

Do you feel that the boy would benefit more from a face to face or online tutor?

Face to face tutoring can be trickier to arrange, but I can happily recommend some websites that might be able to provide a tutor.

If you feel the boy would benefit from online tutoring, I would be happy to be involved.
