The con and pro of cloning?

Depends on who you are. If you are a producer of beef or wool, then the ability to produce lots of animals exactly the same as the expensive but "perfect" animal you've bought does seem like a good idea. However there is the difficulty of explaining why Dolly the sheep died of old age without actually getting old. On the other hand, if you're God, and want to create intelligent beings from a single cell over millions of years, then you'll need genetic variation, which you absolutely don't get from a cloning procedure. Does this help? By the way, what does "gense" mean?
