I believe the hardest part to learn how to program well is the beginning. Once past the steep learning curve, most people can take the reins of their coding life and start learning things from the internet. My main goal is to help students understand the concepts behind software design and the fundamentals they must know before they start building applications. Once past this point, the aim is to get students to practice by developing on their own and providing them feedback on their work.
I am software engineer, recently graduated from Imperial College. I'm hoping to spread the enthusiasm for technology and coding through affordable yet helpful programming lessons. I've been a tech tutor for quite a long time but mostly teaching school and university students. Through a system of online lessons and code reviews, I'm hoping to teach students up to the point where they feel comfortable with their programming skills and can go on to keep developing code on their own.
Tutoring experience:
- Worked with Fire Tech camp for 4 years: A leading tech tutoring company revolutionizing the education landscape in the UK.
- Taught and supervised Imperial College undergraduates for an entire year: Provided one-to-one feedback to students with a focus on letting the students tread their own path towards the solution to a problem.
Software Engineering Experience:
- Embedded Software Engineer (full-time role): Proficient use of C, low-level algorithms and industry safety standards.
- Internships in the medical device industry also involved work in: Python, Golang, AWS and Docker, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Microprocessors and IoT
