I assess a student's most frequent ESL errors and design a personal curriculum with strategies for overcoming those challenges. I review their teacher's comments on previous writing assignments and quizzes to help tailor my lesson plans with the goal of improving the student's grades on future tests. I frequently use word games and flashcards as well as mnemonic devices such as acronyms, acrostics, storytelling, songs, and rhymes.
