About Bani
As a trained vocalist with a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance and 5+ years of teaching experience, I specialise in developing confident, expressive singers for the stage. My focus is on musical theatre and Broadway, where voice meets storytelling. I work with students of all ages and levels—from school performers to working professionals. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, with targeted work on breath, tone, agility, and emotional connection. We’ll explore character acting through song, sharpen your belt technique, and refine stage presence. I also emphasise fast vocal transitions, helping you stay flexible and consistent. My approach includes ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to strengthen your musicianship. My teaching method is rooted in the idea that singing is a form of communication, not just performance. We focus on telling the truth of the song—understanding the lyrics, finding emotional depth, and shaping phrases that feel alive. I guide students to express their most authentic selves. Through exercises in storytelling, breath work, and musical phrasing, we build strong technique without losing natural emotion. Each student learns to use their voice as an instrument of meaning. We also explore vocal agility, range, and stage presence, all in support of better storytelling. Students like The Fiddler and The Music Major have grown into powerful communicators under this approach. I’m deeply committed to helping singers move their listeners.
